STEM Program Coming to CCV

 
In response to the needs of employers in Vermont and across the nation, the Community College of Vermont has developed a new STEM Studies degree (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) designed to prepare students for entering the workforce in technician positions that require strong mathematics, technology, and science skills or continuing on in a four-year, STEM-focused, baccalaureate program.

Geo-Spatial Technology New Course Fall 2013

Special Topics: Geo-Spatial Technology

In this exciting new course, you will use tools for collecting, analyzing, and representing spatial information. You will learn about Remote Sensing, GIS, GPS, Spatial Analysis, and Cartography. At the end of this course, you will have an understanding of how Computing, Geometry, Statistics, and design theory combine to solve real world problems, and explore the environment in productive ways.
