Customer
Relations Counselor
This is an entry level
telephone customer service and loan collections position, with opportunities
for advancement. Duties are primarily working with customers on the phone
to collect past due student loan payments and responding to customer inquiries
regarding loan repayment. Ability to handle challenging conversations and
overcome objections in an efficient and professional manner
required.
Requires: Successful
candidates must have excellent verbal communication skills, must be proficient
with computers, standard office software, comfortable navigating multiple
systems at once, and must be able to perform basic financial
calculations. Must have a demonstrated ability to learn and apply complex
information, and to meet productivity standards, as well as established
department goals and expectations. Must be reliable, flexible, organized
and able to solve problems.
Preferred:
Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 1-3 years’ experience in a lending
institution, financial aid office or with debt collection. English and
Spanish fluency are a plus.
