Dress for Success is a new non-profit located
in Burlington and its mission is to promote the economic independence of
disadvantaged women...
by providing professional attire, a network of support and
the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. On Thursday December 6 from 9-5, Dress for Success
Burlington will host what it hopes will become an annual event called: Stuff A
Bag. This event is only open to women connected with partner agencies (contact
Lisa Jensen, Working Bridges Resource Coordinator at 922-6297 or lisaj@unitedwaycc.org for a referral).
Dress for Success offers great quality, low cost clothing for women
seeking employment or those that are employed who want to expand their wardrobe
inexpensively. In addition, they have a limited supply of casual
clothing, shoes and accessories that will also be available. Women can choose a
large ($25) or small bag ($20) (that will be supplied) to fill with
clothing. Cash or checks on the day of the sale will be accepted.
