Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity is
opening the application process for families to be considered for a 5-home
neighborhood to be built in Charlotte.
These homes are 9 miles from Gutterson
Field Housing/UVM on Spear Street. Eligible families meet selection
criteria that include: low-income households (30-60% median for Chittenden
County); need for housing due to unsafe or overcrowded conditions or they pay
more than 30% of income toward housing; and willing to help build their home
with other volunteers and pay Habitat-financed 0% interest mortgage. 2013
Applicants must attend an information session.
