Assistive Technology Demo
Friday, April 4th, 12:00 – 2:00
CCV Winooski, Janice Couture Room
Leslie Ermolovich, Director
of the Burlington Assistive
Technology Try Out Center, is coming to CCV to demonstrate some useful
types of assistive technology. The Burlington AT Tryout Center is part of
the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion at the University of Vermont
and is located on the Trinity campus. Even though it is very close by, it
can be challenging for students to make a special trip to the center, so CDCI
is bringing a demonstration to us.
Assistive technology is used
by and useful for everyone, with and without disabilities. Get a
taste for what programs and devices are available (and sometimes free!) by
joining us for this session. Leslie will show us Read and
Write Gold, Inspiration,
and Smart Pens.
There’s so much cool technology out there that we can be telling our students
about and/or using ourselves.
It is important to attend the
whole session (12:00 – 1:30, with optional questions at the end).
Pizza and salad will be served.
Please
RSVP to Angie Albeck (angela.albeck@ccv.edu),
and spread the word!
