Success for a tech business in Vermont depends on broadband Internet access and cell service – especially for companies and entrepreneurs who locate outside the state’s population centers. Vermont has set a goal to provide broadband and cell phone access to homes and businesses throughout the state. How is it going? What are the obstacles?  What’s ahead?

The vtTA welcomes Chris Campbell, executive director of the Vermont Telecommunications Authority to our March Lunch and Learn session to discuss these and other topics around the efforts to provide all of Vermont with a high-speed connection to the digital highway. Chris will discuss the VTA’s role and provide an update on projects his office is involved with to expand broadband Internet connections, and create cellular service and fiber optic infrastructure in Vermont.
